Shortlisted for the Denton's Art Prize

In June, I was told that I was shortlisted for the Denton's Art Prize. The Dentons Art Prize is a biannual monetary award of £5,000 that is given to one artist by an independent panel of judges. The firm is collaborating with curator Niamh White and artist Tim A Shaw to host this prize for the most exciting emerging contemporary artists working today. Dentons is committed to supporting emerging artists as they progress in their careers and values the vibrant and responsive insights on both local and global culture that they provide. The initiative gives the Dentons community the opportunity to engage with the artworks through a series of booklets, artist talks and events.

Four of my artworks have been on display at Dentons since the end of June. This has been a great opportunity to have my art in the public eye every day for 6 months. On December 4th, I attended the annual prize giving.
