I have been continuing to dedicate a night a week to apply to competitions and exhibitions that I find on artquest and artrabbit. Writing applications for these things allows me to practice writing about my work formally to a different audience and pushes me to practice my writing and networking skills. In the beginning of May, I was informed that I had been shortlisted for the Refresh Art Award 2019. My painting 'Salem Walk' was shortlisted along with 23 other artists.

It is a great opportunity to be involved in because it means that the shortlisted artist's work is currently showcased in their online gallery for the month of the show and additionally I was involved in their exhibition that they held for all 24 of the shortlisted artists on 6th June - 11th June.
